ENTRE News – The Israeli army admits that it is now short of tanks and ammunition, amid continued deadly attacks on the Gaza Strip. In its submission to the Israeli Supreme Court, the military said many tanks were damaged during the aggression on Gaza and ammunition was also very limited.
The filing was made in response to a petition demanding the incorporation of female soldiers into the Army’s Armored Corps.
“The number of operational tanks in the corps is insufficient for war needs and for carrying out experiments in deploying female troops,” said the Israeli military report, as quoted by Anadolu Agency.
According to the report, Israeli Army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, decided to postpone the deployment of women in combat positions until November 2025, due to severe shortages.
During more than nine months of Israeli aggression against Palestine, 682 Israeli soldiers were killed and 4,100 injured. Israel also continues to ignore the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Israel has faced international condemnation amid continued brutal aggression in Gaza. Until now, the number of victims of Israeli aggression continues to increase to more than 38 thousand people.
