ENTRE News – The Myanmar military junta’s war with ethnic minorities broke out on the country’s eastern border with Thailand on Saturday (20/4). War between the Myanmar junta and ethnic minority rebel groups broke out on Myanmar’s eastern border with Thailand, Saturday (20/4). As a result of the outbreak of this war, around 3,000 civilians fled to save themselves.
The rebels previously managed to capture Myawaddy City FOR4D, a trading center on the Myanmar side of the border, on April 11. It is a blow to a military that is struggling to govern and faces a test of credibility on the battlefield.
According to Reuters, eyewitnesses on the border of Thailand and Myanmar said they heard explosions and heavy machine gun fire near a strategic bridge from Friday night to Saturday.
Russia boasted that the United States (US) would face humiliating defeats such as in the Vietnam and Afghanistan wars after being further involved in the war in Ukraine. This statement came after the US DPR passed a bill (RUU) covering aid for Ukraine worth US$60 billion or Rp. 973 trillion on Saturday (20/4).
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova FOR4D said the US wanted Ukraine to “fight to the last drop of blood” including with attacks on Russian sovereign territory and civilians.
At least five rockets were launched from the city of Zummar, Iraq, towards a United States military base in northeastern Syria, Sunday (21/4). This was revealed by two Iraqi security sources to Reuters.
The attack on US troops was the first since early February when Iran-backed groups in Iraq stopped their attacks on US troops.
Previously, a large explosion rocked south of Baghdad, Iraq, on Friday night.
