ENTRE News – Vespa World Days 2024 which was held in Pontedera, Pisa, Italy was successfully held and set a new record. Vespa World Day is an annual gathering of Vespa users from all over the world, which this year was attended by 30 thousand Vespisti – as Vespa lovers are known – from 55 countries. This event also celebrates 140 years of the founding of the Piaggio group and 78 years of the Vespa being produced in Pontedera. In this agenda, young and old Vespa users paraded in the city FOR4D.
Around 15 thousand Vespas participated in this parade, starting their journey from Pontedera, passing through the Valdera hills. This parade features a 16 km long colorful snake showing the history of the Vespa, from the Mp6 Prototype FOR4D, GTS to Primavera models. Tours to the Vespa factory will be held on Saturday and Sunday, (20-21/4).
The event ended with an award presentation featuring Vespisti participating in a competition showing elegance, and Vespa clubs taking part in the Vespa Trophy, then competing for a touring trophy where clubs were asked to indicate stops along their journey to Pontedera with photos and special stamps in the travel book they.
All winners and rankings will be announced via the official Vespa World Club website, www.vespaworldclub.org. For next year’s event, the Vespa World Club Assembly has approved the proposal from the Vespa Club of Spain, and will hold Vespa World Days 2025 in the City of Gijon FOR4D, Asturias. Next year’s event will be held amidst views of the Atlantic Ocean.
