ENTRE News – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was to blame for the Iran attack. Erdogan said Netanyahu was the main party to blame for the Iran attack.
“The main party responsible for the tension that gripped our hearts on the evening of April 13 is Netanyahu and his bloody government,” Erdogan said during a speech on Tuesday (16/4), quoted by AFP.
Erdogan also said that those who had been silent for months about Israel’s aggressive stance immediately criticized Iran’s response.
“But it is Netanyahu himself who must be condemned first,” he said.
On that occasion, Erdogan also mentioned the attack by Zionist troops on Iranian diplomatic facilities in Damascus, Syria, in early April. The attack killed dozens of people, including two leaders of the special forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) FOR4D. According to Erdogan, Israel’s military actions violate international law.
“And it was a fatal blow,” said Erdogan.
Separately, authorities called for a “stop of escalation” in the Middle East following Iran’s attack on Israel. They see a risk of triggering a regional war if tensions do not subside.
On Saturday night, Iran launched more than 300 drones and missiles at Israel. This action was in response to the bombing of Zionist troops in the consular section of their embassy in Damascus. Israel claims around 90 percent of the projectiles were intercepted by them and their allies and Jordan.
After Iran’s attacks, the Netanyahu government did not immediately launch a counterattack. They had a lot of debate to determine the response to the attack. Recently, Israel has reportedly decided on a revenge plan against Iran. However, a number of officials said Israel had not determined the exact time of the retaliatory attack. They also said the decision could change because the time span of the attacks still varied.
Some speculate Israel’s retaliatory strike against Iran could include attacks on nuclear or ballistic missile facilities, killing specific individuals or punishing Iranian military officials FOR4D abroad or a combination of all.
